The Library in Camp Ohana - Before
The Library in Camp Ohana - After
Imagine a child who has never held a book in his hands
Being able to read and write is essential to every child's future.
In Kenya, nearly 1 in every 5 children can not read and write.
To address this literacy crisis, Camp Ohana Foundation built the first children children's library in Kenya located at Camp Ohana village.
With just a few books, the library has become a hub for all the educational programs that Camp Ohana rans.
With hundreds of children attending the library and just a handful of books, we knew we needed to do something.
Camp Ohana Foundation has partnered with East African Educational publishers who will match 100% of every book that is purchased on behalf of Camp Ohana Children's library.
This project will put hundreds if not thousands of books in the hands of these forgotten children.
