Without water, there is nothing. Water is health, hope, and life itself.

Before they can learn, play, and grow, children need clean, safe water. Without water, there can be no health, no sanitation, and no crops.

Water has always been scarce in this part of western Kenya, and we made it a priority to bring clean water to the children and their families. At first, we purchased and transported more than 2,500 gallons of water each week to support our health and agricultural programs. But we needed a better solution.

In 2013, we completed our most ambitious project: the construction of a well to provide clean water to approximately 200 families (1,200 people).
